Power BI–Export Data (to Excel)–Where to find the Excel updates!?

I already described the newly announced feature of analyzing Power BI models in Excel in this blog post. In order to open the new Power BI data source in Excel you need to install an updated Analysis Services OLEDB driver.

Power BI opens a reminder dialog if you open the new analyzing action. If you by accident clicked the “Don’t show this again” message – the dialog is not opened again.

If you haven’t installed the update, closed the dialog with the no remember option, but now – you’ll need this update! Where to get it? Which version is the right one? Do not despair! Just open the download menu in powerbi.com – et voila! Here is the link to the required download!

Happy analyzing,

Wolfgang
